Alii Royal Fish Pond
Menehune Shoresis uniquely situated adjacent to the historically important 16th century Alii (Royal) Fish Pond of Kalepolepo. Protected by offshore reefs, the Pond provides safe swimming for children and those wishing to avoid heavy surf. The Hawaiians still fish in the Pond, on occasion, using the old "throw net" method and occasionally use torches at night to attract the "aweoweo"!
